How Precision Leader Development™ Works

Precision Leader Development™ takes an individualized approach to driving organization- wide alignment and improved outcomes. To start, Healthcare Plus Solutions Group will work directly with your senior leadership team to conduct an analysis of the organization to identify your goals and prioritize areas where skill development is needed. Then, our advisors will work with leaders and teams to implement coaching plans that turn your strategy into performance.

Precision Leader Development takes skill building and career development to the individual level, combining several self and organizational assessments into one user-friendly dashboard. By providing leaders with actionable insights and fostering a culture of feedback and accountability, we empower teams to stay informed and engaged, maximizing their learning potential and accelerating their growth.

The key to rewiring is taking skill building to the individual leader level. As with precision medicine, it is an N=1 strategy. This requires asking, What skills does the leader need to have for the role they are in at this time? Is the leader aware of their current skill level? This is where the collaborative approach works.

The Leader Skills Assessment provides a template assessment of skills, self-rating and supervisor feedback. It’s important to realize that the skill that’s rated the lowest may not be the highest priority. For example, if a department is small and has little employee turnover, selection skills are not needed at the time. The assessment helps leaders determine where skill building will be most impactful in their specific role, department, and organization to reach their desired outcomes.

The goal of Precision Leader Development™ is to help the employee and their leader achieve their desired outcomes through individualized skill building.

To help with this, the platform incorporates our OSAR™ skill building template. The O stands for the measurable Outcome the person needs to achieve; S is for the Skill(s) needed to achieve the outcome; A is for the Actions or steps to be taken to acquire the skill; and R stands for the Resources needed for the development.

Using the identified organizational goals and leader skill gaps, employees work with their supervisor to build their OSAR and monitor progress in ongoing one-on-one conversations.

Determining how someone best learns typically involves understanding their preferred learning style or modality (Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, or Kinesthetic). Our Learning Strategies and Problem Solving survey helps you cater to the strengths of the individuals on your team by understanding how they naturally engage with information and how they express understanding.

Through a combination of questionnaires, self-reflection activities, and observations, we gather comprehensive information about how someone best learns and tailor learning experiences to suit their individual needs and preferences.

Recognizing and understanding one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is a crucial skill. Through self-reflection, individuals can learn how to make more informed decisions and foster meaningful relationships.

The Management by Strengths (MBS) Assessment is designed to help companies increase productivity, improve customer satisfaction and employee morale through an improved understanding of how to work more effectively together. By better understanding people’s differing communication and decision-making styles, you can more efficiently achieve your goals.

The ultimate goal of Precision Leader Development is to improve leader engagement and retention. A key part of this work is the ongoing coaching and development that happens between a leader and their one-up (supervisor). The Personal Retention Plan™ (PRP) lets employees know that retaining them is important by asking guided questions to understand what is most important to them.

To support your organization, HPSG will also provide ongoing precision coaching and development based on the identified trends from your leader’s assessment results.
